Waiheke Is is 35 min by fast ferry from Devonport, in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland NZ. It has 24 vineyards, beautiful beaches, interesting walks, great cafes, funky shops and all in all is a really sought after holiday destination for peolpe from all over the world. The cottage is two storied, has huge decks an amazing sea view, three bedrooms (one on a mezzanine floor with a double and a single bed) and two double bedrooms. The decor is 'island style' with antiques and comfortable, welcoming and relaxing spaces. Beth's watercolours of tropical flowers and island scenery are scattered through the house. There is deep freeze, washing machine, microwave, full stove - in fact everything you would need for a great stay (sheets and towels supplied). The cottage is not new 'minimal designer' - its funky island clutter. More relaxing we think!

There is a walkway through to the white sands of Onetangi Beach. Onetangi is a wonderful safe swimming beach for all the family. For those interested, fishing trips can be arranged with the local fisherman (and he catches fish galore).

The house will sleep 6, we prefer less as it loads up the septic tank and of course we catch all our drinking water over on the island.

The rates vary with the season. If you are interested let us know when you would like to go. (minumum stay is 2 nights)The weekly rate for December through to March is usually around $300 per night, less in the other months.

Winter is wonderful as well and the pot belly stove gives off plenty of heat and atmosphere. When you read the visitors book its easy to hear everyone saying "We loved our stay here in this special place"; "We will be back soon".
